STPC Indy ThunderThe Drivers of the STPC Indycar Series took to the Pocono Raceway on Thursday 10/28 for STPC's Indy Thunder special event. This event marked the first ever appearance of the Dallara Indycars on WRN, and was well worth the wait. With speeds over 200 mph at a very bumpy Pocono surface, these drivers had their hands full with limited time to practice with a recent update from soting provider iRacing.com. Starting from his pole position, the #18 of Jacob Knueven dominated much of the event leading half of the 100 lap distance. Great pit work from the #24 of Tim Doyle saw him set the pace after pit stops, while the #26 of John Paquin suffered a terrible final pit stop putting him tail on the field for the stretch run. A late race caution for hard contact between the #7 of Scott Manifold and the #24 of Tim Doyle bunched up the field for a 4 lap shootout to the checkers. A huge restart for Knueven would all but seal his victory in the closing laps, while another incident would see the race finish under the yellow flag. Coming home the winner of the STPC Indy Thunder was the #18 of Jacob Knueven. For more information on the STProcup series, check out www.stprocup.com for numerous divisions of iRacing leagues.

Watch the 9/25/10 ArchiveThe fans at Michigan International Speedway may have never witnessed anything like this before. The Vidane Exlander Pro Series RaceSetups.com 150 was definitely a one of a kind event, featuring Latemodel cars racing around a D shaped oval at speeds sub 170 miles per hour. The draft was what would propel you to victory, as this super speedway-esque race featured 30 of the top Vidane drivers.

Tanner Stoops made his series debut at Michigan, and proved to everyone that Michigan was the master of his domain. Stoops however gave credit where credit was due, as Allen Krier, the series points leader was kind enough to give Stoops his setup. Krier was unfortunate enough to get involved in trouble early, but recovered at the end of the race to finish in the 12th position.
